Halo - MA40 Nerf

I created this MA40 Nerf gun as an exercise in hard-surface modelling from real-world reference... and to justify a purchase!

For this piece, I chose tighter chamfers and cleaner texturing than would typically be practical for a game-ready prop in order to stay truer to the real-world reference. Overall, I’m very happy with the final result.

Built using a mid-poly workflow, using weighted normals, tiling materials, and floating decals to capture finer surface detail efficiently. This approach allowed me to maintain clean primary forms while adding smaller, high-frequency details in a controlled and flexible way.
